 Christian Endeavors

The Christian Endeavors Sunday School class is comprised of adult couples and singles with ages ranging from the 40s to 70s.  The class format is informal with literature and topics covering a wide variety of both contemporary and biblical subjects that are reviewed, discussed, and applied to our everyday life. The group is energetic, opinionated and open in sharing real life experiences and perspectives regarding the study material. Such discussions amongst classmates offer real learning experiences and help the class members and group grow spiritually.

The class is active and has fun not only in Sunday School, but also, through multiple social opportunities during the year. For those searching for an open and engaging class, give the Christian Endeavors class a try. You will be glad you did!!

Cornerstone

This class is a fun-loving & compassionate group of mostly 40-60 year olds that study Bible based literature with emphasis on current events and family.  We stress service to others and to our church to spread God's word.

The New Covenant

The New Covenant Group studies comtemporary topics utilizing DVDs and class discussions.

  Mt. Olivet

Sunday School Class meets in room 106 of the education building.  The Class consists of a mix of some of the seniors of our congregation, couples as well as singles.

The Adult Bible Studies, based on the International Sunday School Lessons for Christian Teaching, is led by members of the class.  Periodic outings provide times for informal fun and fellowship and are always enjoyable.

Members of the Mt. Olivet Sunday School Class are very active within the leadership of our church, as well as volunteering in many of the Outreach Programs of  our Community.

We invite others to visit and/or join us as we strive to “grow in Christ and reach out to others”.

Parables

Our group includes adults of all ages, college through retiree. We meet in room 104 of the education building. The class consists mainly of open discussion. Our topics are based on current events and provided by Cokesbury Faithlink

FaithLink is a study for use by individuals or groups of mature youth and adults who want to apply their United Methodist beliefs to current faith issues and world events. This essential guide not only motivates Christians to consider their personal views on important contemporary issues, it also encourages them to act on their beliefs.

We warmly welcome visitors and new members.

Pathfinders

Help carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will obey the law of Christ.  Galations 6:2

Membership:  We like to joke that we are a class of “under 30”—and have been for fifty years! (Our average age now is about 65.)  Our membership consists of both couples and singles. Some have been in the class for nearly fifty years, while others are newcomers.

Teachers and Curriculum: Several of our class members serve as our teachers. We engage in Bible Study and from time to time, we vary our course of study by examining contemporary issues from a Biblical perspective.

Fellowship: The Pathfinders class is like a large family. A designated class member helps us share concerns, joys, news, etc., via the internet.  Women who are able, meet for lunch each Friday. In addition,we have a book club that meets monthly at the Easley library.

Location:Our classroom is directly behind the Fellowship Hall (church parlor).

Please join us for lively discussion and warm fellowship.
